Jeeps are made for off-roading, and there is nothing quite like taking your Jeep out into the wilderness and driving over the rocks and the streams to help you feel like you are one with nature. Of course, no one likes to go off-road alone, which is why Pennsylvania has several Jeep clubs and off-roading parks you can join. In this article, we will go over a few Jeep clubs and off-road parks you can go to feel that camaraderie. Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance
Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance is a legendary Jeep club designed to unite folks with a common interest in Jeep vehicles and off-roading. Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance celebrates the comradery that comes with owning one of these legendary vehicles by sharing different adventures and knowledge with its members. When you buy a Jeep, most enthusiasts will customize it to suit their tastes, and this group believes that every obstacle you conquer with your Jeep is a reason to celebrate. BMJA also believes that no one accomplishes anything alone, and teamwork and comradery are essential when you are in the mountains, near lakes, or in the forests.
Erie Jeep People Off-Road Club
One of the fastest-growing Jeep clubs in Pennsylvania is the Erie Jeep People Off-Road Club. This group is filled with Jeep enthusiasts who are dedicated to the sport of off-roading. While you might think that all the members are from the Erie area, this club membership spreads to places like Cleveland, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh. The club promotes the exhilarating sport of off-roading by teaching all of its members how to safely and legally operate their Jeep in the wilderness. Respect for proper wheeling techniques, having safe vehicle extraction, and respect for the off-road are applied on all excursions.
Rausch Creek Off-Road Park
Rausch Creek is a 3,000-acre park on the eastern side of Pennsylvania and is an absolute must-visit for off-road enthusiasts. The trails rank from very easy to difficult, so you know what to expect when you visit. Be sure to look at the maps available on their website, which feature up to 80 miles of forest roads and trails. There is also an all-natural human-made rock crawling course to practice your skills. The park is open year-round and holds weekly events for riders.
Lake Nockamixon Area Trail
Lake Nockamixon Area Trail is located near Philidelphia and spans an impressive 5,286 acres of gorgeous wilderness. It's the perfect location for a range of off-road activities, and you can rent cabins to stay on the property for a couple of days and enjoy the natural beauty to the fullest. The actual trail itself is 8.2 kilometers long, but you can ask the park about additional trails and outdoor adventure options while you're there.
