How powerful is the Wrangler?
The short answer is that the Wrangler is one of the most potent vehicles ever created! Six engine options are available for the Wrangler, and each one provides drivers with an exceptional amount of horsepower and torque. The base engine is a 3.6-liter V6 which pumps out a solid 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. After this, the Wrangler will give you a couple of options depending on whether you go with two doors or four doors. For all versions of the Wrangler, you have the choice of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder which pumps out 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, pairing exclusively with the eight-speed automatic transmission. If you go with the four-door version of the Wrangler, the first option you get is a diesel-powered 3.0-liter V6 which gets you a spectacular 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. If you go with the Rubicon, things get even more impressive as you get a 6.4-liter V8 capable of producing a massive 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Finally, there is the 4xe, a hybrid version of the Wrangler that uses a turbocharged four-cylinder and adds a rechargeable battery and two electric motors creating 375 horsepower, 470 lb-ft of torque, and 25 miles of all-electric range!
Amazing features for the Wrangler
There are four trim levels available for the Wrangler, and each one is piled with some outstanding features in tech, luxury, and performance! We start with the Sport, which comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels and a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. More luxury items are available for the Sport S as it has alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and air conditioning. Higher trim levels come with four doors and more performance and off-road items! First, let's start with the performance and capability of the Sahara, which comes with a body-colored grille and fender flairs, 18-inch wheels, full-time four-wheel-drive, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with integrated navigation, and an upgraded driver information display. Finally, there is the Rubicon which is dedicated to off-roading with tons of equipment such as 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty front and rear axles, locking front and rear differentials, and rock rails. There is even a sub-trim of the Rubicon known as the 392, which doubles down on the off-road features with high-performance electronic brakes, a 2-inch suspension lift, and Fox shock absorbers.
How safe is the Wrangler?
On top of being incredibly powerful and coming with all kinds of features, the Wrangler is also very safe, thanks to a massive amount of standard safety systems. One of these standard safety systems includes a Blind-Spot Monitoring system with Rear-Cross Path Detection, which will monitor the areas around the Wrangler, so you always see what is to the side of you as well as coming up behind. In addition, an Adaptive Cruise Control system will allow drivers to maintain a safe distance between them and the vehicle ahead. The last system we have to mention is the Forward Collision Mitigation system which will warn you if you're about to get into a head-on collision and will provide visual and audio cues and even apply the brakes if you fail to do so.
